Bought a Teacup, it was not, he grew to 9 lbs

I bought my beautiful George Clooney "teacup" Yorkie with them, he was "on sale" at $800, paid $50 for delivery and was supposed to come with food, the guy "forgot" the food. The dog grew to be 9 lbs, I love him to pieces, he is still very cute but DEFINITIVELY NOT a teacup. Also as soon as I got him he got mange, had to treat him for over a month with my vet. He came with papers that I was supposed to request, I lost the info and when I tried calling Staryorkie they never answer me back, via phone nor email. Once they got your money they will not talk to you anymore.

Ridiculous

Does this breeder even want to sell anything? You call her, write her, message her with a few questions and the most you get is like a 3 word answer. You are lucky if she even came close to giving you an answer to your questions period. Her response time is like 0 to ? Took my business elsewhere. Bye !

My story is happy :) I purchased a Tea Cup Yorkie 10 years ago from Staryorkies and my dog is still only 5 pounds and very healthy .. Your experience may not be everyones.. I also know my neighbor around the block from us also coincidentally bought her two tea cups from Star and they are both a little smaller than my girl!!! ppl always comment on how cute my puppy is.. and are shocked when I tell them she is 10 ! I love Staryorkie for bringing Velvet into the world

Teacup ???

Bought a Yorkie from star Yorkie and paid over 4000 dollars , the puppy was suppose to weight 3 to 4 pounds full grown ,he is 2 years old now he weighs 13 pounds , don't believe them when they say their puppies are teacups THEY ARE NOT !!! I've read other reviews about this company they lie about the puppies being teacup they definitely are not , and after you have your puppy and they reach their full grown weight you are not going to want to "return" them , and they know it , don't buy from them

My So called $4000 teacup Yorkie came with parasites.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Checked out the pups at the house they sell the puppies out of and saw a bunch of beautiful pups. All extremeley over priced. I said I can't afford 4k so they brought out my cute little sweet pea which at the time had a name of Donna Karren. Sooooo Hollywood fruit. But anyways I gave a cash payment of $600 and wrote a check for$1400. Took her to the vet the very next day and $600 later and 3 visits in 16 hours i put a stop payment on that check. Those animal abusers sold me a puppy with parasites. I almost lost my baby. I am super glad I bought her cuz she turned out to be the most amazing tub of love anyone could wish for. Good Luck to anyone who shops there. Oh yeah. They tried to claim that the mom of my sweet pea is also the mother of Miley Cyrus's and Will Smith's daughters. I bet they tell that to everyone. P.s. I'm looking to breed her. anyone got a male? Please email @ msaudioandvideo@***.com

We had the same problem, except they sold us a teacup malteses that had a bad heart. We ended up paying a *** ton I surgery cost, but the little guy is amazing. Also, they are never there to take the calls when it comes to paying us back.

I purchased a dog for over 3000.00 dollars from them. They sent a picture of a puppy that was not there when I went there. They tried to tell me it was the dog I saw. Then they became very rude when I told them if they did not have that dog they should not have sent a picture to me. They were very rude and disrespectful. They are too expensive for what you get. I should have took more time to find a dog. Don't buy from them. Very disappointed. They are selling out of their house in Las Vegas. The advertisement would have you believe you are going to a pet store. I never saw the parents of my dog.

This is the same experience I had. They sent a picture of a dog that they did not have.

They were rude and disrespectful. Bi paid 3200 for a Pomeranian that was supposed to be 3lbs. He is now 9.2lbs at three years old.

He is beautiful but not what they had sent pictures of. Would never buy from them again.

False Advertising

I have always wanted a tiny teacup yorkie and came across Star Yorkies and found a little female and she was precious. Ben said she should weigh about 3-4 lbs full grown. Also was promised she would come with dog food, toy, booklet and potty pads. Not true she came with nothing, which really wasn't that big of deal. She was 14 weeks old when she arrived and as told took her to the vet and she already weighed 4.6 lbs. She also had an ear infection and kennel cough. I contacted Ben and he acted like what's the big deal. Well needless to say I have fallen in love with this puppy and have every intention keeping her. I just wanted to WARN people considering buying a puppy from this place DO NOT. They are a scam and they are NOT BBB accredited.

If everyone here is complaining about this place why haven't you reported to The Better Business Bureau

I had a similar issue.

Got my maltese which was supposed to weight no more than 5 and half pounds when fully grown and she is now almost 17 lbs. Not to mention that I don't think she is full maltese as she has very curly hair, probably some poodle mix. I love her to bits, but you do no get what you paid for and they count on you falling in love with the dog and not making a complaint.

The pedigree registration I received was bogus, sent the money to register the dog and never heard back nor was I able to ever contact them over the phone.

She also had ear infection and kennel cough.

So If A Celebrity Buys It, It Must Be Good, Right?

Star Yorkie may seem very appealing because of all the celebrity customers but make no mistake they are Puppy Brokers/Importers. With the increase popularity of certain breeds, many importers are shipping in large volumes of puppies from Russia, Hungary, Ukraine, and other surrounding European countries with the sole purpose of making money. A single puppy costs the importer $200 - $350 each which can sell for $1,200 to $3,500 or more here in the United States. A very large profit margin! These puppies are being imported into this country as young as 6 to 8 weeks old. Some puppies do not survive the long trip. Many of these puppies do not meet the AKC breed standard and are often poor specimens of the breed. Even though the puppies are listed as registered under AKC on the Star Yorkie website it refers to their microchip in order to deceive the public. If the person has a lot of puppies and no parents on the premises that is a red flag. They will tell you that they have family over seas that they get their dogs from. It is all a lie. They even made their garage into a kennel which makes it easier to back the truck into. Please do not support this!

I purchased my Yorkie who is now 3 years of age from

Star Yorkie. I chose a Yorkie that would be larger because my vet recommended larger.

Tea cups have a tendency to be sickly. She had no appetite and a reverse cough. I took her to my vet. Examined her and attempted to contact Star, let numerous messages.

They never returned her call. After antibiotics and tlc, she was fine. Our experience with the other couple who were co-owners were more professional and easy to contact with our first Yorkie.

I think they are in Vegas now. I wouldn't seek purchases with Ben again.
